Jon prefers to refer to account based marketing as account based everything . Why? He believes that using the term "account based everything" can be the catalyst to reshaping our understanding of this approach. "If we really want to reach out to the right people at the right accounts, sales and marketing need to be integrated. If we call it "marketing" we're telling sales, 'this is my thing, this is a marketing thing'. If we call it "account based sales development" we'd see the reverse. It's all about orchestrating marketing, sales and current customers in a way that ultimately engages those key contacts in targeted accounts."...
